Noticed it last night on the way home.....

Had a look through the CD's I had in the car, or should I say the CD's that Em had in the car! and noticed a Natasha Beddingfield one....

So I stuck it in, and as soon as it started playing I thought my speakers were screwed, as it sounded aweful.....

Took it out and noticed that it was a back-up I'd made of the original for Em to keep in the car!

I'm guessing that when I copied it from the original I didn't use a high enough sampling rate......

The funny thing is that I've never noticed it before when using a cheap HU and speakers !!!! wink.gif

Another downside of having a pukka system, you need to either use original CD's or use a high sampling rate when copying them for back-ups !!! wink.gif

ive had this happen before to some of mine work in the house but not in the had a few that were chipmunked hahahahha just re did them

Don't sample the CD's when copying them. Do a proper CD copy and then it's an exact replica. Sounds like you converted to MP3 or similar then converted those back into CD audio to put on the CD. Always degrades the sounds working that way.

will remember that for next time..... wink.gif

if I do create an MP3 CD to stick in the car, instead of swapping CD's over all the time, what sampling rate should I use ???

I use 192kbs I think, but I still prefer CD's
Mr_Trecolareco
At least 192... the more the better off course.

I prefer to have a couple cd's of good quality than just one like you found out in your car heheheeh
