With that kind of budget one sub would have to do (unless you can source some good 2nd hand stuff!) , what are you looking for sound quality? or all out bassiness?

depends on the rest of the set up, what you have so far?

i have a 500 pound demo car/system i use at the shop

it rearly fails to impress

but what are you after

1 sub or 2

comps up front

do you want it to include head unit

cable etc

hopefully you dont want 6x9s

etc
