Next issue of InCarNation Magazine postponed indefinately...Aug 7 2006, 03:29 PM

I've just had notification that the print run of the next issue of “InCarNation” was postponed indefinitely on Friday.

Not good news as this was shaping up to be the UK's only Car Audio magazine. Financial reasons due to lack of advertising has been given as the reason behind this.

UK Launch of Eclipse head unitsMay 30 2006, 07:57 PM

BBG Distribution Ltd, the UK’s premier independent distributor of Car Audio and AV accessories have recently taken Eclipse into their ever more impressive portfolio.

Eclipse is owned by Fujitsu Ten who are based in Kobe in Japan. The company is very large and employ a work force of over 10’000 people globally through all their subsidiaries. Eclipse is very well respected in both the USA and the Japanese market for creating high-end sound quality orientated CD tuners. In order to harness this reputation, Eclipse have created a range of products specific to the requirements of the European market.

The launching platform for the UK market is made up of three models. The flagship of the range being the AVN8826 7" widescreen motorised In-dash DVD.

Second in the range is the CD8445E competition spec CD HU. Featuring 3 8v preouts, Parametric EQ, Time alignment, and Crossover with variable frequency and slopes, this promises to be a very popular unit especially at it's £499.99 SRP.

The final model, the CD5425, is a more budget priced HU, but still with an impresive feature set.

JL Audio announce W3v3 range of subsMay 5 2006, 08:33 AM

JL Audio have updated thier range of W3 subs for a 3rd time.

JL say...

"Clearly the best sounding W3's yet, these subwoofers feature DMA-optimized, long linear excursion capability to minimize distortion and increase output. W3v3's are available in single 2 ohm, 4 ohm and 8 ohm versions and are superb performers at medium power levels in compact sealed or ported enclosures.

Multiple patented technologies enhance performance and reliability. As with JL Audio’s flagship drivers, development was guided by JL Audio’s proprietary DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) modeling system to deliver outstanding dynamic stability and low-distortion operation within their intended power envelope.

A mineral-filled polypropylene upper cone body with a metallic JL Audio logo medallion provides a classy new look, while a removable (and customizable) mounting flange trim ring receives grille-mesh inserts directly, without the need for additional grille hardware. (Grille mesh inserts are sold separately.)"

The 12” version is a mere £200, at this price, and with this much ability, its easy to realise why JL remain ahead of the curve.

UK SRP 10W3v3 - £190
UK SRP 12W3v3 - £200
UK SRP 13W3v3 - £250

BBG announces major changesAug 8 2005, 11:14 AM

BBG announces major changes to coincide with its new Relocation

BBG the exclusive distributor for JL Audio, Phoenix Gold, MTX, Streetwires and Dynamat here in the UK has announced a number of changes within its portfolio this week to coincide with their recent move to a much larger new facility based in Watford.
BBG well known for their high quality marketing and retailer back up have decided to rationalise some of their home and In-car brands to improve their support to their key retailers and customers.

Therefore to further strengthen our support for JL Audio, MTX Audio, Phoenix oldG, Streetwires & Dynamat, with immediate affect BBG will no longer carry the Caliber, Nakamichi or Polk Audio brands for the UK. However until such time as new distributors have been found, BBG will of course continue to provide service and warranty on any products sold by them.

BBG also intends to close some 250 smaller direct BBG accounts and re-direct these to a small number of authorised sub distributors to allow them to continue purchasing both Phoenix Gold and Dynamat products at a more competitive rate.

Gordon Dutch - Sales & Marketing Director states :
"Over the past 6-12 months BBG has been looking long and hard at all of our products ranges and customers and we are committed to further improving our service to our key retailers. To do so, we need to be able to stock more of our faster selling product lines and give a higher level of service to all of our customers.
By rationalising the number of brands we carry and appointing regional sub distributors for our smaller direct accounts to buy from, we believe that we can provide all of our customers an even better level of service. All of our authorised sub distributors will be well established companies able to offer not only the Phoenix Gold & Dynamat products at the same pricing as BBG, but also capable of supplying a number of other products such as security, navigation and head units of course"
